I wanted to reach out and tell you how much I enjoyed you in "Condorman". (I'm dating myself here) :) I must be one of the movie's "Cutlies" because I just LOVE it, still, to this day. My ex and I taped it when if was first shown on Disney those many years ago and treasured the tape, and watched it over and over again! Anyways, I saw a rerun of Hello, Dolly! last night and realized I recognized you as one of the performers, and got on the internet today to confirm that it WAS you!

| Comments: | Hello, we came to see woz at the start of july for my mums 70th as she never got to see you in phantom. my 5yr old daughter dressed up as dorothy,she had never been to the theatre before but now is begging to go again. she loved it and will remember it forever she hasnt stopped singing all the songs from the cd since we got back and is now an avid oz fan and is always mentioning your name.we do get some funny looks while shopping when we are deep in conversation about Michael Crawford. we are now planning our next trip to the theatre as she is hooked now. i really just wanted to say thank you and it was wonderful to sit for 2 hours and be completely immersed in the land of oz.xx |

I ended up drawing and sending a picture of you coming down the zipslide at the end and wrote you a letter. I was ever so grateful for your reply and signed photo. His voice as he sang Bring Me The Broomstick of the Wicked Witch of the West was so strong!He came out and signed autographs for about 25 mins afterwards and was so nice posing with us all,Congratulations to him for such a great comeback, hope we see him entertaining us for many years to come. |

I have no idea whether you actually read these but I hope you do as I wanted to tell you what an inspiration you are to me. I saw you last night in the wizard of oz for my 27th birthday and it was wonderful. I thought the show was magical and you make a perfect wizard of oz. Like you I have been diagnosed with m.e. since last year and it has been very tough. I have made alot of progress and hope to make a full recovery. I am inspired knowing you came through it and could return to doing what you love and were born to do. I am so glad I was able to have enough energy to come and see you last night. I absolutely addored you character of "The Phantom" in the opera of that name. In recent years I have come to understand that opera more and more as my own marriage broke up and I realised that my life has been very much like wanting to meet Mr Right but being maddied to Mr Wrong who I spent 34 years with before realising this thanks to you beautiful performance as "The Phantom". I have been greatly comforted by your Album which I only brought about 2 years ago "On Eagle's Wings". During the heartache of the past two years your album has bought me great comfort and also had the effect on me I know you wanted to put over to people. I have found the love of my life in "Our Lord's" comfort. I feel I am literally under His Wing and when I can't cope with this heartache I turn to him and talk to him. Thank you so much for putting this absolutely gorgeous album together. Every song has a hidden message in it which the more I listen to it the more I understand the meaning of the words which gives me even more comfort. |

At 63 yrs. old I'm volunteering with Amory High School Musicals, Amory, MS to produce a local high school version of "Phantom." We are the FIRST and ONLY high school group in the mid-south performing "Phantom" - in spite of the facts that this group of students has no funding, no formal performing arts program, no funded staff - It is ALL VOLUNTEER and BIG heart and big dreams for our student! We have a "young Michael Crawford" in the Phantom lead and a fabulous Christine and Carlotta - all 17 years old and blowing it away. We are bringing so much needed artistic opportunity to young and old in our rather poor community. One of our former high school musical students is performing at the NY Met Opera in March! WOULD YOU PLEASE SEND OUR STUDENTS a "break a leg" MESSAGE TO ENCOURAGE THEM? This would mean the world to them - just a word from you. Their performances are Feb. 17/18/19/22/24. And I've been collecting MC's albums and memorabilia since then. Now, my 10-year old daughter, (who is now TV and theater performer here in Manila) loves to listen to Michael's songs...
To Michael, you've been an inspiration to me. Actually, I owe my love with theater to you. I used to be a theater performer at Repertory Philippines when I was still young... well it all started when I fell in love with the voice behind the phantom mask. And now my kids are into theater and I'm glad you became a big influence to us. More power MC and hope to see you singing here in Manila very soon! |

| Comments: | Hello Michael, My 26yr old daughter gave me the "Some Mothers Do 'Av Em"DVD Gift box for Xmas. I always enjoyed them and just as much again recently with my 22 yr old son. You are indeed an incredibly gifted person. The world is a different place now and it was great to see such a generous human being like Frank back on the screen. There was such an innocence and vulnerability about him with a gentleness and softness. It is a blessing the work you do for charity and the light and healing you give to others with the gift of laughter and pleasure you bring to so many people is wonderful; you are a legend. I had thought of a lighthouse as a symbol for a way of helping others without any prior knowledge of the Lighthouse Foundation. It is great to know there are people like you out there and you have helped to restore my faith, because they were becoming very scarce indeed. I saw you in Barnum in 1982. The very best of luck in the Wizard of Oz and that light you have and share may it shine brightly in your performances and for many, many years to come.
