I'm from Denmark and right now Phantom is runing again at "Det Ny Teater" (The New Theatre) and I went to see it (of course) - and even though the cast did a wonderful job and the lyrics are well translated, it's just not the same as listening to the original cast recording - the main difference being Mr. Crawford. So that's why I just wanted to pop by (as countless others have done) and say hello and thanks for everything, Michael!

I've bought several of your albums and I hope one day you might come to Denmark :-) (?)

I have been a fan of yours since I was a little girl. Your music has had the most profound effect upon my life! Growing up I completely immersed myself in your music, entranced by something I couldn't name. I think all these years later I have finally figured out what it is that makes you such an amazing performer and what has made me such an ardent fan! It isn't just the beautiful sound of your voice that makes you successful, it is the heart and enthusiasm that you put into everything that you do! Every single piece of music that I have ever heard you sing was filled with your heart and soul! You never do a half job! You always give everything your all and put all of yourself into it and it really shows! You always make the audience feel exactly what your character feels because there is so much raw emotion in your performances! What an amazing gift! That is very rare and you are the best at it!

Your enthusiasm and love for what you do is also very evident when you perform as well and to tell the truth, it was you and your emotion, enthusiasm, and your magical voice that inspired me to want to be an actress as a little girl! My whole life that was what I wanted to be. Well it never worked out, but now I'm working on starting a career as a voiceover artist, hopefully recording books, commercials, etc. and though it isn't theater, you still inspire me!

I have been a fan of yours since I was 14 years old. When I first got my hands on the original Broadway cast album of The Phantom of the Opera, I recognized your name as that silly man, Cornelius Hackl, from Hello,Dolly! A personal favorite. I couldn't imagine that adorable little voice from that movie being powerful enough to carry the role of the emotionally shattered character of the Phantom. I was definitely shown how wrong I could be. I could hear the pain and suffering in your voice when you reached out to Christine with your love. I could also feel the anger that you had towards everyone that had hurt you in the past. I could feel the happiness and relief that you had whenever Christine was near you.

I knew that nothing could ever be the same after I was opened up to this beautiful piece of artwork that I had in front of me.

I wanted to physically see what you had to offer this character, so I went to my trusty youtube to help me out. And, oh my God, your hands! You have the most beautiful hands! Your hands would reach out to her with all of the longing and pain in the world. It was all so beautiful.

I've seen random interviews of you and you seem to be the most kind and caring and beautiful person that I've ever seen. One wish that I have is to eventually meet you sometime in my lifetime and talk with you one on one. I'm sure that by the time I would be with you, I'd forget how to speak!

I would just love to thank you for everything that you've done for me. I'm sure you would have no idea how much you have done for me. All I can say is that you've changed my life. For the better, don't worry. :)

Here?s from the far-away Russia. Having seen you first in "Hello, Dolly" a few years ago it was quite a surprise for me lately to rediscover you as Phantom ! And now I simply can?t spend a single day without a few glimpses of ?Some Mothers??, or ?Barnum?, or a couple of songs from ?POTO? ? gosh, what versatility, what a unique talent you have ! And all the wonderful songs you sang ? you know, you really inspired me to enjoy singing as I did only back in my childhood ? so it feels like having started a new life ! I?m ever so grateful to you for all you have done and keep doing for the whole world !

Though so late, yet I?d love to wish a very happy birthday ? just stay so young at heart as you have always been and may every day you live be filled with joy and happiness !

It was around a year ago when I wrote on here for the very first time. Since then, I have had the pleasure of hearing many more of the songs you have done because I received most of your albums as recent holiday gifts.

I cannot begin to explain to you what your voice has meant to me and how much it has affected my life for the better. In times when I am feeling down for whatever reason, your voice is the only music powerful and moving enough to bring me out of it. In times when I doubt God?s existence, all I have to do is listen to you sing, because a voice like yours could only be a gift from him.

Many things have changed between now and when I last wrote on here, but one thing remains the same ? I still believe you have the greatest voice of any singer that has ever lived.
